Terms of Use

1. Agreement

MetaScan is provided by The Capstone Real Estate Group Ltd. ("Capstone", "we", "us" or "our"), Ontario, Canada. Gary Semeniuk is an authorized representative of Capstone and an independent distributor of Unicity products.

By creating an account, installing the app or using any feature, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

Capstone is not Unicity International, Inc., and MetaScan is not a Unicity corporate app. References to Unicity products are made in connection with authorized independent distributor activities.

You must be at least 16 years old to use MetaScan.

2. Not medical advice — read this first

This app provides general educational information and is not medical advice. Individual experiences and results vary. Consult a qualified healthcare professional before changing your diet, exercise, supplements, medications, or healthcare routine.

MetaScan is an education and wellness tool. It is not a medical device, it does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease, and its output is not a substitute for care from a licensed professional.

Fasting carries real risk. Do not fast, and do not use the fasting features, without medical supervision if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, under 18, have or have had an eating disorder, have type 1 diabetes, take insulin or blood-sugar-lowering medication, take blood-pressure or heart medication, have kidney or liver disease, or are underweight. Extended fasts of 24 hours or more require professional supervision. Stop immediately and seek medical help if you feel faint, confused, have heart palpitations, chest pain or severe weakness.

You are responsible for decisions you make about your own body. You use the app at your own risk.

3. Food grades and product data

A–F grades are generated from third-party open product databases (including Open Food Facts) combined with our own scoring model. That data is crowd-sourced and may be incomplete, outdated, in the wrong language, or wrong for your region. Grades are opinions, not nutritional certifications.

Always read the physical label — especially for allergens. Never rely on MetaScan alone if you have a severe allergy or intolerance.

4. Your account

Keep your login credentials secure and don't share your account. You're responsible for activity under your account. Tell us right away if you suspect unauthorised access.

The information you enter must be your own. Don't enter another person's health information without their permission.

5. Acceptable use

• Don't reverse-engineer, scrape, resell or redistribute the app or its scoring output as a commercial product.
• Don't attempt to access other users' data, bypass security or overload our systems.
• Don't use the app for anything unlawful, or to promote disordered eating or unsafe fasting to others.
• Don't upload content that infringes someone else's rights.

6. Our Protocol and affiliate disclosure

The Our Protocol section describes the routine we personally use and links to Unicity's store through our referral link. We may earn a commission on purchases made through those links, at no extra cost to you.

Wellness products, not medicine. This works alongside any possible medicinal protocol — talk to your doctor if you're on medication.

Purchases, pricing, shipping, returns and product claims are handled entirely by Unicity under their own terms and privacy policy. We are not the seller, and we don't control their stock, prices or delivery. Product statements have not been evaluated as treatments for disease, and results vary from person to person.

7. Intellectual property

The app, its design, its scoring model, its written content and the MetaScan and GNG Feel Great names are owned by Capstone or used with permission. You get a personal, non-exclusive, revocable licence to use the app for your own wellness purposes. Data you enter remains yours; you grant us permission to store and process it to deliver the features you use.

Unicity names, product names, trademarks, logos and product imagery remain the property of Unicity or their respective rights holders and are used only as authorized.

8. Availability and changes

MetaScan is provided "as is" and "as available". We may add, change or remove features, and we may need to take the service offline for maintenance. We rely on third-party databases and hosting, so we can't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, and we don't guarantee your data is preserved forever — keep your own records of anything important.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for health outcomes, lost data, or losses arising from your use of the app, from inaccurate product data, or from products bought through third-party links. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us for the app (which for the free app is nil). Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot legally be limited, including under consumer protection law.

10. Termination

You can stop using MetaScan and delete your account at any time from your profile. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms or create risk for other users.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada, and the courts of Ontario have jurisdiction — without affecting mandatory consumer rights in your own country of residence.
